Marshall Olkin Exponentiated Dagum Distribution: Properties and Applications

Abstract Marshall Olkin Exponentiated Dagum distribution (MOED) with four shape parameters and one scale parameter is proposed. Alternative expressions are derived for the newly proposed to sort out lengthy calculations. Various properties of MOED derived, including measure central tendency, dispersion, hazard rate survival also MOED. Moreover, network moments, moment generating function, quantile median, mean deviation random number generator. Estimation done through MLE (Maximum likelihood estimation) method, assess value distribution, performance parameter’s estimates studied Monte Carlo Simulation. Three real-life data sets used evaluate application scrutinize as compared (MOD) (ED) (D) Burr III Kumaraswamy (KBurr III) Log Logistic (KLL) (LL) distribution. Four information criteria examine other special cases. The results showed that performs better than distributions.
